Sunday Setlist [9.21.08]

Awesome day today. Pulled out some familiar oldies today.

1) Beautiful One (Tim Hughes): CCLI Song #3915912. Key C. We play it rocked out more than any version I’ve ever heard. In the middle at the “You opened my eyes to your wonders anew…” part we go to a half-time funk groove, instead of taking it down to a wimpy “quiet” bridge. Then build back to the regular beat.

2) Sing to the King (Foote/Horne): CCLI Song #4010902. Key D. Pretty standard arrangement. One of our ladies led it. Very nice.

3) He Reigns (Furler/Taylor): CCLI# 4026635. Key D.Similar to the Newsboys arrangement, but like most of our tunes, rocked out a LOT more. We take the rhythm of the second half of the second verse and rock that through all the verses, and play pedal to the medal through the choruses. It’s a fun, simple, and repetitive song that the congregation grabs hold of pretty quickly.

Part of Sunday Setlists.

there it is, you said you were going to throw Sing to the King in the set….nice. Like what I see. If I were you pastor our i would give you a significant raise after a set list that fat.

I’d like to hear what you did with Beautiful One. I love the song, but the bridge is boooring….

We did He Reigns today, too. And rocked it, too! I put the Bad Monkey to work!
