Great day yesterday! We had a guest speaker who brought a challenging word! The band was a little small due to summer time “off” scheduling, but we rocked the casbah anyways.

1) One Way (Hillsong United): We do this with a kinda western meets surf rock guitar intro. One of our favorites!

2) O Taste & See (Brian & Jenn Johnson): One of our female vocal leaders led this for her very first time yesterday and did an awesome job!

3) Today is the Day (Lincoln Brewster/Paul Baloche): Experienced this the first time at the National Worship Leader Conference 2 weeks ago. We included the NKOTB-esque “Oh oh ohs” and the church loved it and had a great time jumping with us! If you introduce your people to this song, loosen up a little take a few minutes to teach them the “Oh oh ohs” and have a great time. I actually had a few audience “oh oh oh” plants who went for it from the seats and really helped set the mood. Nice thought, worship leaders leading from the seats!
