I ran.

I ran hard.

This past week we (my wife and I) covered over 10 miles over 4 days of running.

Monday: 1+ mile

Tuesday: 2+ miles (podrunner pace 147 BPM)

Thursday: 3 miles (podrunner pace 147 BPM)

Saturday: 3+ miles (podrunner pace 154 BPM)

Good: I feel great. More energy throughout the day (which seems the exact opposite of what you’d think). No sodas all week. Looking forward to running this evening. Our mile pace is getting a little quicker each run so that’s nice.

Bad: Really sore. Thursday’s run was pretty easy. Saturday’s run seemed a lot harder even though it was the same distance.

Ugly: If you are in decent shape you can probably walk faster than my run pace.

All in all I’ve decided to run at a pace where I could keep my legs moving. I will NOT walk. Even if I have to run slower than a walk. Make any sense?

I’ve been using the podrunner podast to keep my BPM pace for me. Usually the podcast is about an hour’s worth of steady music at a specific BPM.

This week’s schedule:

Monday: 2 miles

Tuesday: 2 miles

Wednesday: 3 miles

Saturday: 5 miles

27 weeks to go.
