Beautiful Worship
I was perusing the “Best of the Rest” post over on RagamuffinSoul.com and came across this post.
I’ve read it before, ragamuffin soul is in my blog reader, so I stay fairly up to date with what’s going on up at Buckhead Church.
But this hit me pretty hard today. Kind of makes all the minutia (or what seems to be) of working in full-time ministry pale in comparison to the actual moments when we’re connecting with God and seeing others do so as well. There’s no contest. It’s all worth it.
Look at these pictures:

Imagine being caught up in the ins and outs of producing a quality worship environment for thousands of people. Rocking out a worship set multiple times per day and being on the edge of exhaustion (on Easter Sunday) and then looking to your left and seeing this….

From Calos’ blog:
I’m in verse 2 and I look to my left and am hit like a blind side pick and roll.
Swaying on the front row was a guy I later learned was named Matt.
Standing in front of him was another guy named Jefferson.
It was a moment that stands out above all else in my 11 years of leading worship.
You see Matt and Jefferson were worshipping God, together.
Literally.
Jefferson has severe cerebral palsy. He has little, if any control over his body.
Matt was standing behind Jefferson.
Holding Jefferson.
20 minutes.
Dancing with Jefferson and singing at the top of his lungs.
Jefferson was singing too. I think could hear him.
And it was the most beautiful song I have ever heard.
I love doing what I do.
