What was I doing 10 years ago?
Ten years ago today I was studying Music Theory/Composition at Georgia Southern University. Most likely I was out in the courtyard kicking a kicksack around or playing a round of golf. I know, I know the dedicated student! In 6 days I would be turning 21. That year I went with our Symphonic Wind Ensemble to England on a 2 week concert tour. Much fun. I was working part-time as a music/technology lab “techie” - a way cool job. I also commuted an hour and half each week back to my hometown/homechurch where I was the part-time music guy.
Five things on my to-do list today?
1. Finish vocal rehearsal tracks for this coming Sunday’s lineup.
2. Record some rehearsal “covers” that my newly assembled band will be playing in a month at an “all covers” show - so that they can rehearse.
3. Finish up a 6×9 mother’s day invite for a church in the ATL area.
4. Hit level 38 on “Bubble Blue” - my Illusion/Force Field Controller in City of Heroes.
5. Throw down in the kitchen. Southwestern inspired Chicken Soup with fried Corn Tortillas.
