My Perfect Sunday
Inspired by Bo over at Bo Knows, I’ve decided to describe my perfect Sunday.
First, You’ll have to understand that the biggest day of my “work” is on Sunday. So with that being said, I love the fact that I’m able to get together with friends and spiritual family for the majority of the day. I love being able to rock out on the drums alongside some of the coolest musicians in Valdosta. I love meeting new people, those wit lots of spiritual experience, and those with none!
I love hanging out with the middle and high school students of our faith community. That happens from 6 pm to 8 pm. We watch old school Nickelodeon (Figure it Out, Double Dare, etc.) and play video games (Tekken, NFL Street, etc.).
In my downtime, I enjoy jumping on my favorite MMORPG, City of Heroes, and teaming up with my brother who lives several states away, and others in my supergroup to bring down the latest villain threats to Paragon City. It’s a blast.
Sometimes, I sneak a nap in. Other times it’s about sports. For the most part it’s the “second day” that I get to chill for a few hours. Saturday is usually my primary chill day. As a guy who “works” with students for a living, I find that I look forward to Sundays, because I know that the people I’m locking arms with to do life and ministry with are doing what they do to make an impact in people’s lives for the Kingdom through relationships and creative presentation of God’s Word and the principles found in scripture.
I do try to make it home in time for a little Family Guy action. Although, sometimes I wonder why…

Russ, that’s a pretty good Sunday!
If only it included The Kill Point. With that addition, it’s just about perfect.

Thanks for the shout out!
One problem. The link to Bo Knows doesn’t work. It’s the thought that counts!
