hotChurch-Sunday Nights, hotChurch at the House of Joy Conference Room.  Bring your Bible and your friends for a time of fellowship, worship, and study! There are two separate times according to your age.  There is group worship in between meetings so that even though we are in two groups, the junior and senior high school students still get to fellowship together.

CURRENT SERIES!

We all like to receive letters. These days they come primarily in an e-mail but in Biblical times, letters were handwritten. The apostle Paul wrote a lot of letters, many of which are included in the Bible. His letters were intended to help the early church sort out what it meant to really follow Jesus. But the Galatians may not have been too excited to get Paul’s letter to them because Paul was mad. The Galatian church was a mess. People were saying that what Jesus did on the cross wasn’t enough. They were looking around them and determining who was in with God, and who was out. So Paul set out to bring some clarity to the situation in the passionate, sound way that only He could. And while this may seem like a great look back in history, we probably have more in common with the Galatians than we would care to admit.

Jamie Tworkowski

In 2006, Jamie Tworkowski founded “To Write Love on Her Arms” (TWLOHA), a non-profit group dedicated to helping those who suffer from depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicidal tendencies find hope, support, and love. TWLOHA began as a simple attempt to tell the story of a friend in need of treatment that soon became an Internet phenomenon and global movement.

In order to fund his friend’s treatment, Jamie Tworkowski posted a blog on MySpace and began selling t-shirts. Supported by the bands Switchfoot, Anberlin, and Paramore, TWLOHA became widely recognized in the music world. It has responded to nearly 100,000 messages from more than 40 countries and donated over $500,000 to treatment and recovery organizations. Jamie speaks frequently, bringing a message of hope and community to audiences at universities and conferences throughout the US, Australia, and the United Kingdom. He shares his vision of hope, reminding students that “You are not alone and this is not the end of your story.”
